About Catherine
Catherine Baudet graduated from the University of Queensland in 1978 with a Batchelor of Architecture. She is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and is the former director of Ferrier Baudet Architects, a position she held for 37 years.
She has recently launched Catherine Baudet Architect, a consultancy that offers independent advice about the architectural process. The purpose of her consultancy is to demystify the architectural and building process and enable clients to achieve the best possible building outcome. Her experience covers all building types, including education, aged care, child care and residential and commercial.
Building projects are complex, involving lots of different people with different roles. Her expertise will help you navigate this process by providing clarity and advice where needed.
Catherine has board experience, particularly in the education field and sits on the Independent Design Review panel for the Brisbane City Council and is also a member of the State Government Urban Places Panel. She is a member of the University of Qld, Department of Architecture Advisory Board and is a member of the Building Tribunal. Her broad range of skills and experience allows her to find answers to the many problems people encounter during the design and building process.
